Short answer

Your robots.txt disallows Google-Extended. No change is needed if this is your choice. Google-Extended only controls whether your content is used to train Gemini models and for grounding in Gemini apps and the Gemini API; it does not affect Google Search, AI Overviews or AI Mode, which use Googlebot. This note exists so you know the switch is set; it is not an error.

Why it matters

This issue affects whether your site can be used as a source in AI assistants' answers only in Gemini's own apps (grounding). Search features that show AI answers inside Google (AI Overviews, AI Mode) use Googlebot and are not affected by Google-Extended, so blocking it does not remove you from those.

How Glimana detects it

Glimana evaluates robots.txt for the Google-Extended token and fires when it is disallowed. Confirmed finding; information severity; not reported when your preference is to block training.

How to fix it

If intentional, set your AI visibility preference to "Appear in answers, but block training" on the AI access page and the note goes away. If not, remove the User-agent: Google-Extended group from robots.txt (see AI training bots are blocked for per-platform steps).

How the fix is verified

Re-tested weekly or with Re-test.
