Internal links with generic anchor text
anchor_generic_internalShort answer
Links whose only text is "click here", "read more", "here", "learn more", "details" or similar. Google gives exactly these as examples of poor anchor text: read on its own, the anchor should tell you where the link goes. Replace it with the target's topic — "the hreflang setup guide" instead of "read more". Informational.
Why it matters
Descriptive anchors help Google understand the target page and help readers decide whether to click. "Read more" on every card is a template habit; the fix is usually one change in the template (link the title, or compose the anchor as "Read more about {title}" with the generic part hidden from assistive tech).
How Glimana detects it
A site-level rule matching internal link anchors against a list of generic phrases in English and the site's language.
How to fix it
Themes with a "Read more" button: make the post title the primary link and either remove the button or give it aria-label="Read {title}". In content, rewrite the sentence so the linked words describe the destination.
Same for collection cards and blog listings in the theme's Liquid.
Compose anchors from the target's title.
