Short answer

The page contains structured data (JSON-LD or microdata) for a type Google supports, but at least one item is missing a property Google marks as required for that rich result. Google only shows a rich result for items that have all required properties. Missing properties don't affect indexing or ranking, but the item can't get a rich result. Add the missing properties listed in the evidence, using values that are visible on the page.

Why it matters

Rich results (star ratings, product prices, recipe cards, event dates) are shown only when the markup is complete. An item missing a required property is simply ignored for rich results; nothing else happens to the page. Structured data is not a ranking factor; the benefit is a more visible result, not a higher one.

How Glimana detects it

Glimana parses the page's structured data, matches each item against Google's documented required properties for that type, and fires when any are missing. The evidence lists the type and the missing property names (for example Product: offers.price, Recipe: image).

How to fix it

  1. Read the evidence for the type and property names.
  2. Add the property with a value that is actually on the page. Google's guidelines require that structured data describe visible content; invented values are a policy violation.
  3. Validate with Google's Rich Results Test.

Common required properties by type:

Type Required
Product name, plus offers, review or aggregateRating for merchant listings
Article headline, image, datePublished, author
Recipe name, image
Event name, startDate, location
BreadcrumbList itemListElement with position, name (item for all but the last)
FAQPage retired for most sites; see retired rich results

SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress) generate schema from post data; the missing property is usually an empty field (no featured image, no author name, no product price). Fill the field in the editor. For custom schema blocks, edit the JSON directly.

Theme schema reads from product fields: add the missing image, price or SKU to the product. If a review app provides aggregateRating, make sure it is installed and enabled for the template.

Update the template that emits the JSON-LD so every required field has a value, and omit the item entirely when the data is not available rather than emitting empty strings.

How the fix is verified

Re-crawl; the task closes when the item has all required properties.
