You most likely opened this page because you saw GlimanaBot/1.0 (+https://glimana.com/bot) in your server logs.
GlimanaBot crawls a site only when that site's owner adds it to Glimana, and only that site.
It does not crawl the web at large, does not copy content, and does not collect data for AI training.
Identity
| User-Agent | GlimanaBot/1.0 (+https://glimana.com/bot) |
| Egress IP address | 209.74.74.26 |
| Request rate | 4 requests per second (can be lowered per site) |
| robots.txt | Read and obeyed |
What happens if it is blocked
If your server returns 403 to GlimanaBot, Glimana cannot measure your site. When that
happens the panel shows no scores at all; it opens a single critical issue and points here. We do not
present something we could not measure as "good".
Allowing it
Blocks usually come from a bot protection layer: Cloudflare, LiteSpeed, Imunify360, Wordfence and similar tools reject unfamiliar crawler identities. Add the User-Agent or the IP address above to the allow list in that tool.
Blocking it
If you would rather not be crawled, add this to your robots.txt; it takes effect on the
next crawl:
User-agent: GlimanaBot
Disallow: /
Slowing it down instead
If you do not want to block it entirely and would just like fewer requests, we honour the
Crawl-delay line in your robots.txt. The example below asks us to leave
at least 10 seconds between requests:
User-agent: GlimanaBot
Crawl-delay: 10
The person who added your site to Glimana can also set the crawl rate, and restrict crawling to night hours, from the panel.
Something wrong
If the crawler is putting load on your site or behaving unexpectedly, write to support@glimana.com. We can lower the request rate for you.
