Missing title tag
title_missingShort answer
There is no <title> in the page's head. Google then builds the title link in search results from headings, anchor text or other page text — you do not decide what people see. Add a unique title that says what the page is.
Why it matters
The title link is the first thing a searcher reads and the biggest lever on click-through rate you control. Google says it uses the <title> element as the main source for title links and rewrites it only when it is missing, too long, boilerplate or inaccurate. With no title at all, every result for this page is a guess. There is no length limit; Google truncates to fit the device, so the important words belong first.
How Glimana detects it
The rule fires for an indexable page returning 200 whose parsed <head> contains no non-empty <title>. A title placed after an element that closed the head early counts as missing — see Canonical is outside head for that pattern.
How to fix it
SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math) generate titles from a template. A missing title usually means the theme calls neither wp_head() nor wp_title(), or add_theme_support('title-tag') was removed. Restore it in functions.php, then set per-page titles in the plugin's snippet editor.
theme.liquid must contain <title>{{ page_title }}…</title>. Set product and collection titles under Search engine listing preview on each resource.
Render <title> inside <head> on every HTML response; make the page's main heading the default when no explicit title is set.
How the fix is verified
The page is re-crawled after you mark the task done; the task closes when a title is present.
