Competitor comparison

A comparison of what can actually be measured on another site from the outside: its real-user speed from Chrome and the structure of a sample of its pages. Nothing here is a third-party estimate.

Setup

  1. Open Site settings → General and enter the competitor domains in Competitor domains, comma-separated, no scheme or path (competitor.com).
  2. Return to Competitor comparison and click Measure competitors. The first measurement takes a minute or two.

Speed · real user data

For each site, including yours, the Chrome UX Report origin-level p75 for LCP, INP, CLS and TTFB on mobile. CrUX only has data for origins with enough traffic, so a small competitor shows "—" (no data, not zero). Origins are matched exactly on scheme and host; Glimana tries both the bare and the www variant and notes which one returned data.

Page structure · our own sample

Glimana reads up to 25 pages per competitor, picked evenly from their sitemap, and computes: average and median word count, title length, share of pages with a meta description, with structured data, with a single H1, and internal links per page. Your column is computed from all your indexable pages, so the "Pages checked" row shows the two denominators side by side. Median and average are both shown because one long guide inflates an average.

Competitor pages are not stored: they are read, turned into numbers and discarded. The measurement uses no paid service.

What is deliberately not here

Competitor traffic, search volume and authority scores. All three come from third-party models, and all three are estimates: in Ahrefs' own 1,635-site study the median gap between estimated and real Search Console clicks was 49.5%; Semrush's estimates ran about 107% high for sites around 10,000 clicks. Putting such a number next to your real clicks would break the one promise this panel makes — every figure here was measured. If an estimate source is ever added, it will be marked as an estimate and kept apart.
